Movimento Pedala Manaus quer incentivar o uso das "magrelas", foto: Fidel Ramos
A capital do Amazonas não conta com ciclovias, mas uma iniciativa facilita um pouco a vida de quem pretende pedalar pela cidade. O movimento Pedala Manaus, que incentiva o uso de bicicletas como meio de transporte na capital do Amazonas, está construindo um mapa coletivo de rotas para bicicletas na cidade. Estão sendo recebidas informações e sugestões de ciclistas, para mostrar caminhos, dificuldades e perigos e o tempo do percurso para quem usa bicicletas. É uma ajuda para quem busca alternativas em uma cidade com sérios problemas no trânsito e no transporte coletivo.
De acordo com o biólogo Ricardo Braga-Neto , idealizador do mapa, a ideia é difundir a bicicleta como meio de transporte na cidade e mostrar os melhores caminhos para quem optar pelos pedais. Por enquanto, o próprio Ricardo atualiza os dados no Google Maps. E ele já mapeou 21 rotas de Manaus, entre as vias mais movimentadas da cidade, onde o visitante com apenas um clique pode conhecer um pouco sobre o que vai enfrentar no trajeto.
Segundo Ricardo, já foram mais de 1500 acessos, mas ele lamenta que a maioria dos visitantes seja de outras cidades. Ele reconhece que o mapa ainda é rudimentar. “Vou me aprimorar nas ferramentas, para melhorar a apresentação”, afirma. O ciclista lembra ainda que o Movimento Pedala Manaus discute com a prefeitura da cidade um projeto de implantação de ciclovias na cidade, para tornar as bicicletas uma alternativa ao deficiente transporte público de Manaus
